Emergency Service

Emergency Service – Monitor, Libya

The Angus Service Team were commissioning firefighting equipment in the East of Libya when the call came in that one of our customers had a rimseal fire in a 80mtr diameter floating roof tank.

emergencyservice1Our client and other local oil companies offered mutual aid and equipment including the mobile pump and large capacity monitor trailer that our engineer was testing – without hesitation, our commissioning engineer agreed to travel across the country with the equipment to help fight the fire.

Foam stocks and other equipment were gathered on site in preparation to making a foam attack using the Angus Colossus Monitor. An attack was mounted using FP70 and the fire finally extinguished after 30 min application.

The commitment of Angus staff is to always go the extra mile.
